Awards season headed to London as Britain’s top stars and royalty joined Hollywood’s biggest names to honor films and talent from the past year. And the fashion did not disappoint.

Interestingly enough, many celebs opted for classic black and white combos on the red carpet on Sunday night. Julianne Moore wore a simple black Saint Laurent dress and paired it with a feathered shawl, while Kate, Princess of Wales chose a floaty white dress by Alexander McQueen paired with long black gloves. The King’s £18 floral earrings from Zara sparked a feverish debate online.
