All About Demi Lovato’s New Boyfriend Jutes

Demi Lovato has been posting about boyfriend Jutes, born Jordan Lutes, for a while now, after People confirmed their new relationship in early August. A source at the time said: “It’s a really happy and healthy relationship. He’s a super great guy.”

Here’s everything we know about the happy couple.

Who is Demi Lovato’s boyfriend Jutes?

The musician hails from Ottawa, Canada, and he told Nuance Magazine he studied film before discovering songwriting while living in Toronto. He signed to Capitol Records before leaving the label two years later to “pursue his own goals as an independent artist”.

“I left because of crazy budget cuts due to Covid and I think they didn’t want to hold me down and give me the support I needed which is so blessed of them,” he said. “You hear so much about labels that put people on hold or hold them back without pushing them and I can’t tell you how grateful I am that I’m not… I’ve wished for a while that I could be indie again, just because I love taking full responsibility for my own career, so it worked out pretty well.”

Both Lovato and Jutes are on sobriety journeys and he’s been pretty candid about it on social media. In July, he celebrated 100 days sober on Twitter.

“Learning to properly manage my anxiety was something I was always too scared to try,” he wrote. “It took me a long time to be ready but I’ve never felt better mentally and emotionally. When you’re dealing with s—rn that feels endless, just know that nothing lasts forever.

A source also told People, “They’re joking, laughing, talking about their personal struggles together and what they overcame in the music business when they were young,” the insider said. “He’s impressed with her talent and very supportive.”

The couple post a lot about each other on Instagram.

He shared a collection of photos with the pop star for Demi’s 30th birthday.

“Happy birthday sweetie. You’re a 30 year old babe and I’m the happiest jerk in the world to call you mine,” Jutes captioned the post. “Making you laugh has become my new obsession , because your smile literally cures my depression (there’s a song lyrics in there somewhere)… I’m so proud of you for not only surviving everything you’ve been through, but also for reaching the top and your healthiest, happiest and cutest to become myself.”

Lovato commented, “YOU ARE THE BEST FRIEND IN THE WORLD.”

He has also shared many images from PDAs and clips of Lovato’s singing.

Jutes co-wrote some of Demi Lovato’s music.

On Lovato’s new album Holy Fvck, Jutes is credited as a co-writer of the tracks “Substance”, “Happy Ending” and “City of Angels”.

“One of my favorite songs I’ve ever worked on,” he wrote in an Instagram post of their collaboration. “When I was asked to stand up and write for this session, I thought what am I going to do in a Demi Lovato session? only to emerge and realize she’s doing one of the heaviest rock projects I’ve ever heard of…obviously a crazy milestone for me, but beyond that I feel so blessed to be a part of something I’m so passionate about am a big fan.”

Lovato and Jutes spend the holidays together.

On Halloween, they shared their couple’s zombie bride and groom costume and went to a haunted house in New Orleans together.

And they celebrated Christmas Eve at Disneyland and kissed in front of the festively decorated Sleeping Beauty Castle.

“Merry Christmas everyone,” Lovato captioned the cute pics.
