After spending a good part of last year locked up due to the pandemic, this year our Bollywood celebrities took it upon themselves to really dress up with a newfound vengeance. Probably frustrated like the rest of us with all the looks piling up in our closets, these celebrities – some old and some new – made sure to inspire us with their chic, well-styled ensembles.
With stars like Radhika Madan and Kiara Advani really improving their game, Sayani Gupta and Shobhita Dhulipala adopting their alternate styles, and seasoned celebs like Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt holding the line, here is our full list.
1. Radhika Madan
The Kuttey star really shed her inhibitions this year by hugging daring silhouettes, statement pieces and drowning out the trolls. Her undercut bustier top for Shiddat promotions sparked a conversation on social media. While some fans criticized its look, we found the silhouette to be truly international.
2. Nora Fatehi
Whether you’re a fan of her dance moves or not, there’s no denying that Nora puts belly dancing herself on every one of the best dressed lists in the country. The star has a distinctive style – often staying classic but also adding a touch of sexy. Nora’s fondness for established international labels like Naeem Khan and Alex Perry and the large selection of Hermes Birkin bags have proven that this girl loves her fashion!
3. Sharvari Wagh
The Bunty Aur Babli 2 star had some key moments during her promotional -pearances this year. Though audiences didn’t see much of the actress, the outfits she chose to wear were memorable enough to catch the eye of even Instagram critic Diet Sabya. We liked some of the co-ord sets and sundresses from the recent past.
4. Deepika Padukone
In terms of mainstream A-listers, this year was DP. The 35-year-old kept the balance between high fashion and relaxed athleisure look and has c -tivated us for the last 365 days. Even for the 83rd premiere, the actress pulled off a stunning str -less Gauri and Nainika gown, while opting to slip into oversized jeans right afterwards.
