The first was a shadowy, mysterious burn that could bring someone to court when the true author is exposed. The second was to see if her work could be successful without affixing her already popular name. That’s pretty commendable. It begs the question, “Do you like this because it happens to be a good song, or do you like all the followers because I’m famous?” And third, some artists are bursting with ideas, and those ideas don’t all fit into theirs “Brand”.
