New Range Rover Sport SVR Ultimate makes public debut

Land Rover has launched a new “Ultimate Edition” of its fastest and most powerful model: the Range Rover Sport SVR.

First shown at Salon Privé, the new addition offers a range of personalization options developed by the company’s Special Vehicle Operations department to set it apart from the standard vehicle.

The Range Rover Sport SVR Ultimate has a number of new styling details, including new lettering on the bonnet and trunk, new vents in the bonnet made of carbon fiber, 22-inch alloy wheels and brake calipers.

Buyers can choose from a number of exclusive color combinations developed by the SV Bespoke team, including three new paint colors with solid glass flakes mixed in. All models receive a black contrasting roof, mirror caps, front grille and other details.

There will also be a number of other personalization options. The new special edition retains the 567 PS strong 5.0-liter supercharged V8 of the Range Rover Sport SVR, so it can crack the sprint from 0 to 100 km / h in just 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 280 km / h reach.

Prices start at £ 123,900 compared to £ 101,920 for the standard SVR. Land Rover has not announced a production limit for the special edition and can now be configured on the brand’s website.

This is expected to be one of the final additions to the current Range Rover range before the new generation of vehicles is launched in the coming months.

Just last week, new spy footage gave us our first look at the successor to today’s Range Rover Sport SVR. Large brakes, a four-port exhaust, and a distinctive rear spoiler continue to set it apart from the standard car, but a subtle styling overhaul will obviously set the newer car apart.

Today’s JLR-developed 5.0-liter V8 is expected to make way for a BMW-derived 4.4-liter twin-turbo unit that paves the way for the top-of-the-range Rover to produce 616 horsepower and 552 lb. ft power of the X5 M Competition using this engine.
