The crypto market leader (BTC) price is trading at $16,787.57 after rising 0.41% in the past 24 hours. This is according to data from crypto market tracking website CoinMarketCap. However, its price is still down 2.34% in the past 7 days.
With a circulating supply of 19,238,512, the market cap of BTC is currently around $323,140,684,206 at press time. Meanwhile, Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) is trading at the same price as BTC, but has a significantly lower market cap of $3,110,897,115 at press time.
WBTC’s market cap is as low as it is because its outstanding supply has dropped over the past few weeks. Currently the circulating supply of WBTC is 186,010.
The circulating supply of Wrapped Bitcoin reached an all-time high of nearly 286,000 WBTC in 2022, according to a tweet published today by Twitter user Jameson Lopp (@lopp). The tweet added that its circulating supply is down 35% since then. are now at the current level.
