The World Bank has expressed its disapproval of the Central African Republic’s (CAR) recent regulation essentially adopting Bitcoin (BTC) as legal tender for exchanges. The World Bank also said it would not support CAR’s new crypto hub called “Sango.”
Meanwhile, Binance (BNB) has become the title sponsor of a crypto awareness program in Africa. The program is called Binance Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Awareness Tour (BCAT) Africa, 2022 and aims to raise awareness of crypto and blockchain in Nigeria, Uganda, Cameroon and other African countries.
The global crypto market cap is down 5.44 percent to $1.24 trillion as of 8:50 a.m. However, global crypto volume surged 12.71 percent to $97.37 billion, according to Coinmarketcap data.

Bitcoin, the world’s oldest cryptocurrency, traded at $29,834.82, down 6.19% over the past 24 hours. Ethereum (ETH) fell 5.67 percent to $1,828.90.
“The crypto market declined, bitcoin traded just below $30,000, ether continued to decline and other major altcoins fell lower. The long-term momentum of the market remains negative. Any price reversal currently requires significant buying activity and a major sentiment reversal,” said Gaurav Dahake, CEO and Founder of Bitbns.
Among other major coins, Cardano (ADA) fell 6.17 percent to $0.5717, Algorand (ALGO) was trading down 6.98 percent to $0.3809, Solana (SOL) was down 12 Traded .34 percent at $39.34, Polkadot (DOT) fell 6.61 percent to $9.49 and Binance Coin (BNB) fell 5.81 percent to $301.36.

(ZONX), which fell 95.9 percent to $0.0002267.

Dogecoin (DOGE) fell 5.69 percent to $0.08097. The volume to market cap ratio is 0.07527. Rival Shiba Inu (SHIB) is down 6.73 percent to $0.00001088.
Dogelon Mars (ELON) is down 9.11 percent to trade at $0.0000004433, Floki Inu (FLOKI) is down 8.63 percent at $0.000009106 and Samoyed Coin (SAMO) is down 1.98 percent at 0.005624 $.
In the DeFi segment, YFI (yearn.finance) was down 7.86 percent to $7,433.64 and Terra Classic (LUNC) was trading down 16.18 percent at $0.0000971. Avalanche (AVAX) was down 10.46 percent to $23.19, Uniswap (UNI) was trading down 8.55 percent to $5.13 and Aave (AAVE) was down 6.37 percent to 106.42 $.
