On the updated Uniswap v.2 platform, any ERC20-based token can be exchanged for another. Users can also lend their tokens to Uniswap’s liquidity pools and receive fees for doing so.
Users can use the Uniswap (UNI) interface to connect their Ethereum supported crypto wallets, choose the token they want to swap, select the token they want to swap and click swap. Users must wait for the proposed transaction to be confirmed on the Ethereum blockchain after approving the preview.
Uniswap (UNI) makes better use of capital and also allows liquidity provider tokens to be considered NFTs. Liquidity providers for specific token pairs can now set their own price ranges for which they wish to provide liquidity. This allows Uniswap v3 to act as a pseudo-order book on Ethereum where market makers and liquidity providers can choose at which price point they wish to provide liquidity.
While this makes the network’s capital deployment more efficient, some people think it’s better for wealthy and professional market makers than smaller retail participants. Uniswap was founded by Hyaden Adams and is currently listed at $6.52 on coingecko.
