Why were Satoshi Nakamoto randomly sent 26 Bitcoin?

Recently, an anonymous user sent 26 Bitcoins to the pseudonymous creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto's wallet, leading to predictions about the purpose of transferring digital assets worth over a million dollars.

At the current Bitcoin price of $44,239, this is equivalent to $1.15 million.

However, US Attorney Jeremy Hogan predicted on X (formerly Twitter) that this move was intended to force Satoshi Nakamoto to reveal his identity.

Regulations recently introduced by the US Internal Revenue Services (IRS) require reporting of all crypto transactions over $10,000. This includes providing names and addresses within 15 days of receiving the transaction.

“Why?? The only thing that makes sense is that the sender is flushing out Satoshi. Under the new IRS rules, you have to report any crypto receipts over $10,000. So Satoshi must be doxing himself OR breaking the law.”

Community members believe that the upcoming Bitcoin halving will trigger a new Bitcoin bull run. However, there is speculation as to whether the halving could make Satoshi Nakamoto one of the richest men in the world.

In 2009, when Bitcoin was not yet known to the average person, Nakamoto, the inventor of BTC, was already mining his first coins. Even though he stopped soon, he still had time to mine over a million coins. An Arkham report suggests that Satoshi Nakamoto holds 1.1 million BTC.
