On Dec. 9, Bankman-Fried, or SBF — under threat of a possible subpoena — said he was ready to talk at a hearing in the US House of Representatives aimed at investigating the collapse of FTX. The leadership of both the House Financial Services Committee and the Senate Banking Committee had proposed subpoenaing the former FTX CEO, prompting SBF to say on Twitter that he was “ready to testify” on Dec. 13.
