Whales Suddenly Send $215,700,000 in Ethereum to Coinbase and Binance, while $219,500,000 in Bitcoin transfers attract attention
Ethereum and Bitcoin whales make their presence known as BTC holds onto a crucial support level at $23,000.
In the past 24 hours, three Ethereum whales have initiated massive transfers to crypto exchanges Binance and Coinbase.
The first transfer sent 92,170 ETH worth $150.9 million to Binance from an unknown wallet.
The whale in question left a relatively small amount of 1,000 ETH in its $1.6 million wallet.
A few hours later, a separate Ethereum whale sent 25,361 ETH worth $40.5 million to Coinbase from an undisclosed wallet.
This whale essentially drained its Ethereum wallet to zero in the process.
Shortly after, a third Ethereum whale abruptly transferred 15,110 ETH worth $24.3 million, which was transferred to Coinbase from a wallet of unknown origin.
This whale also emptied her wallet to zero.
Not to be outdone, a massive Bitcoin whale then emerged, moving 9,475 BTC worth $219.5 million between two unknown wallets.
BTC doesn’t appear to be going to crypto exchanges where it could potentially be sold on the open market.
Bitcoin is down 0.4% in the last 24 hours and was trading at $23,045 at the time of publication. Ethereum is up 0.6% to $1,598 over the last day.
