Whales are suddenly shifting tens of thousands of Bitcoin (BTC) as the crypto king continues to consolidate above $30,000.
Blockchain monitoring service Whale Alert first spotted the chain of 28,377 BTC Bitcoin transactions worth more than $856 million.
In one of the largest transactions over the past day, a crypto whale moved 9,819 BTC worth nearly $300 million from one unknown wallet to another unknown wallet.
The whale in question paid less than $8 to move the Bitcoin hoard.
In another transaction sent an entity with deep pockets 5,503 BTC worth over $165 million spent between wallets of unknown origin and about $10 settling the transaction.
In another transfer, a cryptowhale with 5,000 BTC worth over $150 million was moved from one unknown wallet to another unknown wallet. The financially strong investor paid less than $7 to move the big Bitcoin stack.
The other major BTC transactions over the past 24 hours involve the movement of bitcoin between wallets of unknown origin and centralized crypto exchanges.
One whale withdrew hundreds of Bitcoin from crypto exchange Binance, while another whale sent BTC to Coinbase.
At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading at $30,352, a fraction of the day.
