According to the joint official announcement by the two teams, the Tron Foundation has entered into a long-term strategic partnership with major market-making platform Wintermute.

As part of the partnership, Wintermute Tronics-based (TRX) pairs will bring liquidity on leading centralized and decentralized cryptocurrency exchange platforms.
Therefore, the collaboration with Wintermute aims to improve the accessibility of TRX tokens in retail and yield farming protocols. The spreads on the stock exchanges are also becoming far more attractive with increased liquidity inflows.

Wintermute is now able to mint and redeem USDD, a Tron algorithmic-backed, over-collateralized stablecoin pegged to the US dollar.
Last but not least, Wintermute will support TronDAO with strategy and marketing advice. This collaboration will help the Tron ecosystem break new milestones in terms of technical advancement and market acceptance.
