You start with four random cards in your deck. In the first round you may make 1 turn. If you only have cards in your deck that cost you more than 1 turn, you can’t make a turn on your first turn. (Bad luck).
Players also receive 2 Destiny Cards at the beginning of the game (this is not included in the demo version); These Destiny Cards add another layer of randomness. These Destiny Cards can be played at any time during combat and are hidden from the opponent.
In the second round you may make 2 moves. During the third turn, 3 turns, etc. There is a card that adds 1 extra turn when you play it. This is an example of a special ability that cards can have.
Once you manage to play a card from your deck, it will be moved to the row of active cards you have on the table. With your active cards, you can beat opponent’s cards and reduce their defense points with the number of attack points the card you are playing has.
If the defense points are reduced to zero, the card is defeated and eliminated from the game.
When your opponent runs out of active cards on the table, you can use your active cards to beat the opponent’s “hero” and reduce their number of lives with the amount of attack points your active card contains.
The special powers of the various cards add an extra layer of strategy to the game.
