Analyst Austin Hilton discussed the latest Bitcoin price prediction and recent positive news in the crypto market. Bitcoin and the overall cryptocurrency market have seen a rally, with Bitcoin gaining almost 5% at the time of writing.
He said the key factor in this increase was the positive news about the Federal Reserve's PCE report, which exceeded expectations. The report, which is key to the Federal Reserve's interest rate decisions, showed a better-than-expected rise of 2.9% compared to the expected 3%. This news had a positive impact on the crypto market and caused prices to rise.
Hilton shared a Bitcoin price prediction that suggests Bitcoin could reach $43,000 in the short term. However, he also discussed the historical patterns and noted that Bitcoin tends to experience a dip before its halving cycles. With the upcoming Bitcoin halving expected in April, a temporary price drop is possible.
Regarding downside risk, Hilton mentioned the possibility that Bitcoin could fall to the $33,000 area, emphasizing that such levels could represent a buying opportunity. He expressed his willingness to buy more Bitcoin, especially if prices reach this level, from a long-term perspective.
Analyst Rekt Capital noted a rebound as expected, but noted that Bitcoin needs a weekly close above the $41,300 low to secure the range. The current situation could be a temporary upward deviation within the range, for which there is no definitive evidence yet. The coming weekend should be interesting in terms of market forecasts.
He wrote: “If Bitcoin converts the old range low of around $41,300 into new resistance, Bitcoin will fully confirm the breakout from its range.” At the time of writing, Bitcoin is up more than one percent and will traded near $42,000.
