Bitcoin Amsterdam is ahead of us
Organized by Bitcoin Magazine and BTC Inc. in partnership with Amsterdam Decentralized, the event will begin on October 12 at western grassone of the most important cultural venues in the heart of the Dutch capital.
The aim is to provide a forum for discussions about Bitcoin, blockchain technology and the future of money, as well as to promote the theory of “hyper-bitconization” or the idea that Bitcoin will become the world’s default value system thanks to Bitcoin limitless, censorship-resistant, and permission-free features.
Recognized as the most significant bitcoin event in the world, attendees will mingle with some of the industry’s most important figures, including key public advocates, politicians, celebrities and more. Notable names include Adam Back, co-founder and CEO of Blockstream; Peter McCormack, journalist and founder of What Bitcoin has done podcast; and Stella Assange, wife of activist and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. Topics to be explored include Central Bank Digital Currencies (CDBC), Bitcoin as an inflation hedge, the Lightning Network and the integration of Bitcoin into today’s payment networks.
Most of the keynotes, panels and fireside chats will take place on the first two days of the conference. The event will conclude with the Sound Money Fest featuring games, bitcoin giveaways and performances by a range of artists and DJs.
The predecessor of Bitcoin Amsterdam, Bitcoin 2022, held in Miami in April of this year, brought together 26,000 bitcoiners in the largest gathering of its kind the world has ever seen. Bitcoin 2023 will return to Miami next year on May 18th. Passes for next year’s conference are available for purchase here.
