Crypto is a fast-moving environment and yesterday’s big stars are often forgotten the next morning. It’s an environment where everything moves fast, and investors are forced to stay on top of things or fall behind. This article examines three new rising stars, and it will be tomorrow’s responsibility to judge whether or not they should be remembered.
SpookySwap (BOO)
SpookySwap was the first and is currently the largest decentralized exchange (DEX) on the Fantom Opera network. BOO is the native token of the SpookySwap protocol and in addition to being a governance token, it can also be blocked from receiving trading fees from the platform. BOO is currently trading at $3.85, below its all-time high of just under $40. BOO’s price action correlates with the popularity of SpookySwap and the current price of Fantom (FTM), the native token of the Fantom Opera network. SpookySwap offers many return opportunities and is often the first place curious DeFi investors find themselves on the Fantom chain.

Gnox (GNOX)
gnox is a protocol set to be rolled out on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) in Q2 2022. It is the first of a new breed of reflection token that aims to simplify the DeFi investing process for all investors. By becoming GNOX token holders, investors gain access to DeFi yield protocols such as yield farming, with rewards being reflected in stablecoin every 30 days. The Gnox Protocol makes this possible through its treasury funded by its tokenomics of buying and selling taxes. A portion of every trade in the Gnox token goes directly to the Treasury fund, which is then used in DeFi yield strategies on behalf of investors. Since the treasury’s capital is never touched, it will logically grow over time, and thus the stable reflections will increase over time. Gnox is currently accepting pre-order purchases across multiple chains. And the project’s early adopters seem excited to see how effectively Treasury will work.
PancakeSwap (cake)
PancakeSwap is the largest decentralized exchange (DEX) on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and hosts many liquidity pools where DeFi investors can earn returns. CAKE is the native token of the DEX and is used to pay out rewards to liquidity providers in the protocol. This token can also be set individually on the DEX to entitle the investor to transaction fees from the DEX. PancakeSwap has a Total Value Locked (TVL) of $5 billion and is a popular protocol for other DeFi protocols to generate revenue through its cake pools. PancakeSwap’s growth was due to the high cost of Ethereum DEXs and the wide range of tokens it doesn’t offer on centralized exchanges (CEXs) like Binance. As investors become more curious about cryptocurrencies, they want to own tokens that are smaller and less well-known.
