Solidity – NEED HELP – MEV bots are attacking our liquidity pools – how to counter or block MEV bots?

Introduction We have 2 tokens in our project and 3 liquidity pools (“token1-ETH”, “token2-ETH” & “token1-token2”). Token1 has ~5% of fees and includes reflection. Token2 allows users to purchase Token1 for half the fee (compared to buying it directly via ETH).

Problem Immediately after launch, we observe 2 (I think) types of MEV bots actively attacking our tokens. One of them is a sandwich MEV bot that wraps buying and selling around large trades. This one is a nuisance, but creates more reflection and isn’t as dangerous. The other empties the liquidity pool. It performs a large number of transactions within a single block and somehow drains ETH of Token2 ETH liquidity.

Any suggestions what we can do to protect our users from these MEV bots?

Is there a way to detect the MEV bot in the solidity contract? Any suggestions on how we can tax the MEV bot higher or block or throttle the number of transactions within a block.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have not disclosed specific details about the contract to avoid making those contracts public and inviting further attacks. If necessary, I can pass on this data. I have the transaction hashes from these attacks.
