116-year-old Swiss travel company recognizes crypto as a legitimate payment method
Founded in 1906, the Swiss travel company Kuoni Business Travel has partnered with the crypto payment service BitPay. Thanks to the collaboration, Kuoni customers who need to organize business trips can now pay for services with cryptocurrencies. The following cryptocurrencies are currently available for payment via BitPay: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Dogecoin (DOGE), Shiba Inu (SHIB), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Litecoin (LTC) and Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC).
The head of the travel company commented on the innovation that by introducing crypto as a means of payment, Kuoni is responding to the growing demand for payments using modern digital methods.
Crypto payments are becoming increasingly popular among merchants
News about the introduction of cryptocurrencies as a means of payment no longer has the same wow factor as before. It seems that every day more and more companies are coming back to it and understanding exactly what competitive advantages such innovations offer. Companies like BitPay and NowPayments also deserve a lot of credit for adopting crypto. In addition to international travel service providers and airlines, these two payment systems also have well-known luxury brands such as Balenciaga, Gucci and Tag Heuer as customers.
What is surprising is that despite the depressing state of the market, companies are not afraid to work with crypto. On the contrary, it seems that cryptocurrencies are opening up new opportunities for more and more traders to realize their marketing and operational potential. Perhaps with every integration and partnership like this, we’re getting closer to the point where if you don’t accept crypto payments, you’re not trending.
