One of the distinct Internet markets is the area of digital games. There is no denying that gaming projects are simply for entertainment, but the big players in the gaming industry are striving to provide their customers with a top-notch gaming user experience.
Gaming companies have recently shown interest in integrating blockchain, NFTs, and cryptocurrency into their various gaming platforms.
A fintech company called Zeebedee conducted a survey of gamers in the US to see if they supported or vehemently opposed the introduction of NFTs.
Most gamers are opposed to the idea of NFT collectibles being introduced into the gaming business, according to the study, but surprisingly most of them said they would be open to accepting NFT-like items if they used Bitcoin or would let others earn cryptocurrencies directly.
Essentially, the study found that instead of focusing on NFT adoption, blockchain gaming platforms should focus on cryptocurrency earning opportunities for their customers.
Specifically, 67% of survey respondents said they would be happy to play free games for cryptocurrency prizes.
According to 45% of respondents, the idea of trading NFTs, which can take the form of characters or wearable items, with other players across a gaming platform is undoubtedly beneficial. While 23% of people were strongly against, 32% of people wanted to remain silent.
The far more significant finding of the survey was that while only 5% of respondents were interested in earning NFTs directly in-game, 27% of respondents were interested in earning Bitcoin in-game.
Zeebedee’s Chief Strategy Officer, Ben Cousens, noted that the key finding from this survey was that the majority of participants had a positive or neutral opinion about the function that NFTs and cryptocurrencies play in the gaming ecosystem.
