OSL Digital Securities and Interactive Brokers Sign Agreement, OSL to Provide Interactive Brokers Exclusive Virtual Asset Services in Hong Kong

OSL Digital Securities, the world’s first Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) Type 1 and 7 licensed digital asset brokerage and trading platform for professional investors, and a subsidiary of BC Technology Group, and Interactive Brokers, an automated global electronic broker, have just announced the appointment of OSL Digital Securities to provide exclusive virtual asset trading services to Interactive Brokers in Hong Kong.

The agreement is a significant milestone in the development of digital asset markets in Hong Kong and represents the first collaboration between one of Hong Kong’s largest SFC-regulated online brokers for professional investors and an SFC-licensed institutional digital asset broker and exchange. Upon going live, Interactive Brokers will offer direct virtual asset trading services powered by OSL to its Hong Kong professional investor trading clients.

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and the SFC issued a joint circular on January 28, 2022, allowing registered institutions and licensed companies for the first time to offer digital asset investment services by only partnering with SFC-licensed virtual asset trading platforms .
