MicroStrategy's Holdings Earn $8.1 Billion, BTC Hits New ATH

Michael Saylor's MicroStrategy has an unrealized profit of over $8 billion as Bitcoin (BTC) continues to hit new all-time highs.

According to data from Saylor Tracker, MicroStrategy has accumulated a total of 205,000 Bitcoins since 2020 – costing the company around $6.95 billion – at an average price of $33,928 in 36 different dates and transactions.

According to the data provider, at the time of writing, the company's BTC holdings currently show a gain of 117.3% – about $8.16 billion.

Notably, MicroStrategy's most recent BTC purchase of 12,000 coins was completed on March 11 at an average price of $68,477. According to Saylor Tracker data, MicroStrategy's Bitcoin holdings are currently worth $15.12 billion.

Bitcoin reaches new ATH

MicroStrategy's earnings surge comes as Bitcoin has continued to hit new milestones over the past week.

BTC is up 2.6% in the last 24 hours and is trading at $73,580 at the time of writing. It is important to note that the flagship digital currency reached a new high of $73,610 around 08:30 UTC on March 13 before slipping slightly.

Furthermore, Bitcoin’s market capitalization is $1.44 trillion with a market dominance of 49.7%. The asset's daily trading volume also increased by 11% and currently stands at $63 billion.
