- They have also filed trademarks for events and performances within the metaverse
Global rates Goliath Mastercard documents 15 new branded applications related to crypto, fintech and metaverse related innovations.
According to top trademark law adviser Mike Kondoudis, the Visa titan’s requests show that he intends to establish non-fungible token (NFT)-backed media, a framework for installment processing and internet business exchanges within the metaverse, and a trading hub for crypto resources .
To date, 1,967 applications have been submitted
Kondoudis’ data shows that Mastercard’s requests include brand names for downloadable media documents containing craftsmanship, text, audio and video that have been validated by NFTs and internet business programs that would enable electronic commerce through the Metaverse.
In addition, the company documented applications for virtual Mastercards, check cards, and preloaded cards, and the ability to process installment payments using these computerized cards in the metaverse.
Mastercard also documented brand names for events and exhibitions within the metaverse and for online networks linked to computerized resources.
Kondoudis also notes that the amount of NFT brand names recorded up to this point this year has surpassed last year’s consolidated total, according to the data.
The information from the legal counsel shows that in 2022 so far 1,967 applications were recorded, while in 2021 a total of 1,965 inquiries were recorded. In 2020, only 23 applications were filled out.
Recently, the rate goliath joined forces to power US-based crypto trading platform Coinbase, later building an NFT business center that would allow Coinbase customers to trade for computerized collectibles using their Mastercard fee and Visa pay.
Mastercard previously reported that it would expand its consulting administrations due to its famous interest in the computerized resources industry.
