Looking Glass Labs Ltd., a leading Web3 platform specializing in non-fungible token (NFT) architecture, immersive metaverse environments, play-to-earn tokenization and virtual asset royalty streams, announces that House of Kibaa (HoK) its flagship studio has set the launch date for the next step in the phased alpha release of its Pocket Dimension Metaverse assets to November 1st, 2022. The company’s Metaverse was designed to provide the highest resolution and most realistic experience technically possible today.
The alpha release
HoK has steadily evolved its Metaverse assets to meet the significant expected demand for them over the next decade. As recently reported in The Wall Street Journal, annual global spend by businesses and consumers related to the Metaverse could reach $5 trillion by 2030, according to a new report by consulting firm McKinsey & Co. E-commerce in the Metaverse will turn 2 $.0 to $2.6 trillions of the total, while virtual advertising will account for another $144 to $206 billion.1
The Alpha release will introduce holders to HoK’s full Metaverse experience, with specific goals of testing simple features of each pocket dimension, exploring the environments, and stress-testing multiplayer skills. HoK has developed 11 ultra-realistic environments, including ten original Pocket Dimension environments and one Genesis Moon environment, all created with Unreal Engine 5. The alpha release plans to continue leveraging each owner’s Web3 Metaverse experience. HoK Genesis members also have access to their Genesis Moon environment. The Alpha version provides access to early versions of the following features:
- gated owner access;
- multiplayer lobby options;
- text chat capability;
- 2x standard avatar player;
- NPC hosts;
- in-game mini-games;
- NFT interactions with image, video and text; and
- Various architectures, for example the HoK Lava Temple Gallery and the Gutter Cat Gang Trap House
After the alpha release, HoK will gather feedback from users to develop more features with the aim of releasing fully featured Pocket Dimension in 2023 for users to start building their own virtual worlds.
The Pocket Dimension Metaverse is a hyper-realistic digital world built with the latest version of the Unreal Engine to offer users a premium virtual experience. Pocket Dimensions features ten different environments including Archipelago, Countryside, Dale, Dunes, Fjord, Marsh, Savanna, Tundra, Woodland, and Zen, as well as the aforementioned Genesis Moon environment exclusive to Genesis membership holders. Each environment provides users with different forms of utilities, including but not limited to hosting events with their community, integrating custom structures, and adding digital assets.
Pocket Dimension is a four-acre private space that owners can visit, invite friends, view NFTs, create settings, collaborate with others, or enable experiences through various utilities and uses. Packs offer additional unique benefits to their owners, such as blockchain-agnostic with broad NFT compatibility (Polygon, Ethereum, etc.), extensive avatar system, unique host system for non-playable characters, and more.
Dorian Banks, Chief Executive Officer at LGL, added:
“As the Metaverse and NFTs continue to experience rapid growth and adoption, it is important for HoK to get Pocket Dimension available to users as soon as possible. Early adopters who have purchased Pocket Dimension are keen to begin building their virtual spaces and establishing their presence in the metaverse. I believe future collaborations with well-known music, sports and entertainment companies will be a catalyst for both the HoK metaverse and the broader metaverse ecosystem on a global scale.”
