Traditional Automated Market Maker (AMM) pools pool two assets, allowing users to trade the pair, incurring fees for liquidity providers. Although liquidity is available at all times, this system has the disadvantage that assets remain idle for long periods of time. Because of this, Folks Finance wants to make this dormant liquidity more efficient by sourcing it from Folks’ credit markets.
Liquidity providers can receive both swap fees from the DEX side and lending rates from Folks Finance lending markets as their assets are used in both lending and AMM protocols.
The system is made possible by creating pools that use Folks deposit tokens, fTokens, instead of the normal assets typically used in liquidity pools.
With Lending Pools, you can earn an APR from the interest that borrowers generate on Folks Finance’s lending markets, plus fees incurred by trading through Lending Pools on Pact.
In the third quarter of 2023, the APYs of the loan pool will be increased by the targeted DeFi rewards allocation distributed by the Algorand Foundation. Over 2 million ALGO are now available for Lending Pool Liquidity Providers!

Here are a few steps that will help you earn efficient returns from Folks Finance’s credit markets and Pact liquidity pools.
➡️ Go to Lending Pools on app.folks.finance.
Go to the Deposits page on app.folks.finance and click Deposit next to a credit pool.

You will be redirected to Pact where you make the deposit. Enter the amount of each token you wish to deposit. Click “Confirm” to continue and sign with your wallet.
➡️ Participation in farms on Pact.fi.
When the deposit is completed you can use them for additional rewards. Click on “Deploy” to go to the farm page.
Enter the number of LP tokens you wish to wager. Click “Stake” to continue and sign with your wallet.
