BTC price fluctuations

Bitcoin (BTC) has experienced increased volatility in recent days, with its valuation fluctuating between $35,000 and $38,000. It reached It peaked yesterday (November 16) following the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) latest delay on certain crypto ETFs.

Specifically, the US securities regulator has postponed action on Grayscale’s application to launch an Ether futures ETF and Hashdex’s intention to convert its existing Bitcoin futures ETF into a spot fund.

And while the primary digital asset and almost the entire market were flashing green, everything changed a few hours ago when BTC plunged 5% to around $35,500. It later managed to gain some ground and climbed to its current level of around $36,500 (according to data from CoinGecko).

Despite the significant ups and downs, BTC has performed quite well since the beginning of the year. Its price has increased by over 120%, with numerous experts predicting a further rally in the following months due to bullish factors such as the upcoming halving.

What’s new about Ripple (XRP)

Ripple and its native token – XRP – remain a top trending topic in the cryptocurrency world, largely due to the never-ending saga with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Most recently, Judge Analisa Torres Sentence a timeline for investigation and briefing on remedial action. Both organizations must complete the required procedures before February 12, 2024.

Ripple appears to have the upper hand in the legal battle against its enemy, having won three partial victories in court so far. The major trial between the companies in spring 2024 should decide the outcome of the lawsuit and potentially resonate across the cryptocurrency space.

Alongside the above update was XRP listed again on CEX.io, one of the oldest cryptocurrency exchanges. Many other trading venues, including Kraken and Coinbase, have also added their support for Ripple’s coin following the company’s successful campaign against the SEC.

SOL is retreating after a massive rally

Last but not least, we will touch on Solana’s native cryptocurrency – SOL – and its impressive price performance recently. On November 16, it rose to almost $70, a mark not seen since May 2022. The token recorded a whopping 170% rise on a monthly basis before staging a correction in the last few hours.

Currently, SOL is worth around $60 and it will be interesting to follow whether the bulls will intervene again in the following days and trigger a further uptrend for the asset.
