There are Compound, Aave, Uniswap, SushiSwap, Curve, Bancor, Balancer, Alpha Homora, and countless other defi apps. Many of them have bets not only on Ethereum but also on Avalanche, Polygon, Fantom, Binance Smart Chain, Arbitrum and Optimism. Together, these apps list a legion of cryptoassets, one or more of which are pooled to form a selection of pools more diverse than New York’s population.
Decentralized finance is brimming with investment opportunities, but finding the best ones is an arduous task. Until recently, the optimal strategy was to visit all the apps that support the assets you hold, perform the dreadful DYOR, check each deposit percentage (DAPR), make a list and pick the best numbers. The problem with this strategy was not only the inconvenience of visiting apps individually, but also the limited – or in many cases complete – lack of historical and aggregated data.
The good news is that defi has come a long way since its popularity in 2020. Innovation is booming and the above strategy has become obsolete. Enter Yield Samurai.
Step 1. Select assets
Suppose you hold LINK and are looking for the best defi pools to earn interest on. Open Yield Samurai and look for LINK:
Step 2. More filters
Click the More Filters button to further filter out unwanted results:

In this example, we are filtering out all pools that have less than $100,000 Total Value Locked (TVL). But you can also filter by other important metrics.
Step 3. Sort
After narrowing the pool results, sort them by DAPR:

At this point you can see all pools that contain LINK, have at least $100,000 TVL and are sorted by average DAPR over the last 7 days in descending order.
Step 4. Narrow the search
Suppose you are not happy with the low DAPR of the pools in the credit table and want to find a liquidity pool where LINK is paired with WETH, perhaps because the transient loss for such pools is almost always negligible:

You enable exclusive search to ensure that only pools containing the exact same combination of assets you are looking for are shown in the results; They add WETH to the search resources; Finally, expand the liquidity table. Voilà, you end up with all LINK-WETH pools with more than $100,000 TVL ordered by DAPR.
As you can see at the time of writing there are pools on Uniswap V3, SushiSwap, Uniswap V2, Balancer and QuickSwap with some apps having pools on different blockchain platforms ie Uniswap V3 on Ethereum and Arbitrum.
Step 5. Analyze Individual Pools
If you’re happy with the search results, you can start analyzing each prospect at this point:

Analyze the available data for all prospects – Temporary Loss, DAPR, TVL, etc. for different time periods – and you will make a better investment decision.
