Dork Lord Price explodes after Matt Furie tweet – Next Pepe? Which meme coins could pump next?

Earlier today, a new meme coin was born – Pepe the Frog creator Matt Furie tweeted a Star Wars-style Pepe based on a Dark Lord of the Sith (which included Darth Vader).

The Dork Lord (DORKL) token was promptly listed on Uniswap by a still anonymous team – Matt Furie has claimed no involvement.

The meme artist often tweets new Pepe memes and artistic interpretations of the frog character, which some developers use to create new meme tokens.

What is Dork Lord Token?

According to Dork Lord website dorklord.vip, DORKL is a tax-free “meme coin sensation that’s taking the internet by storm with its unparalleled memorability and charm.”

The homepage of the DORKL website also writes the following to allay concerns about another Pepe Coin-style price crash:

“97% of the tokens were sent to the liquidity pool, LP tokens were burned and the contract was terminated.” The remaining 3% of the supply will be held in a multi-signature wallet and only tokenized for future centralized exchange listings, bridges and liquidity pools used. “Dork Lord is built for the people and owned by the community.”

The larger Pepe coin, which hit a market cap of nearly $2 billion earlier this year, has plummeted over 75% since its multi-sig wallet was hacked and members of the team deposited millions worth of Pepe tokens could sell on the open market.

$DORKL has a total supply of 1,000,000 tokens.

Dork Lord Price Performance – Next Pepe?

At the time of writing, Dork Lord’s price has increased by nearly a million percent since its launch, which many alpha callers like Telegram channel Crypto Whale Pumps have noticed early on. DORKL peaked at a market cap of over $10 million before seeing a slight decline in price.

However, the Dork Lord coin still has a long way to go to reach the heights of Pepe (PEPE), which still has a market cap of over $330 million and achieved such huge interest and trading volume that even the largest crypto exchange, Binance, listed the token (although Coinbase didn’t, branding the meme a “hate symbol”).

Similar new meme coin launches over the past few weeks all aimed to become the “next Pepe” such as the Pepe community, but after a strong initial rally, prices plummeted.

Another trending new meme coin, Shiba V Pepe (SHEPE), has fallen back below the $10 million market cap and now has a similar valuation to $DORKL.

Next cryptocurrency to explode

With bitcoin currently in a downtrend and some analysts suggesting that bitcoin is in a bear market, investors’ best bet might be to view new memecoins as a short-term trade rather than a long-term investment.

All three of the above “next Pepe” contenders – DORKL, Pepe Community, and SHEPE – along with many others, bled dry after an initial price explosion. Few have sustained a rally over a multi-week period, with a few exceptions such as HarryPotterObamaSonic10Inu (BITCOIN).

To get ahead of the crowd early and get the highest possible ROI, investing in pre-sales of new cryptocurrencies can be an option – projects that are not yet listed on exchanges.

Wall Street memes

One project we recently reviewed is Wall Street Memes (WSM).

Read our post “Five new cryptocurrencies to watch that traders think could see a rebound” here, with $WSM being our top pick.

We’ve found WSM to stand out for its deployment capabilities – currently offering a 70% annualized return – and the large following of over a million followers on its social media accounts.

Some of his memes were also noticed by Elon Musk thanks to this reach and his multi-year tweeting of content – his @wallstmemes account was founded in 2019.

Some of the top influencers have named WSM as one of the top cryptocurrency launches to watch for September, as have leading review sites like ICOBench.

New memecoin hunters only have a limited time to participate in the WSM presale – it ends in 20 days and will be listed on several first-tier central exchanges as well as Uniswap, which could give it an edge over memecoins that only be traded on DEXes.
