Dogecoin enthusiast @Tdogewhisperer shared a screenshot of BitPay, explaining that DOGE has become the fourth most popular cryptocurrency by customers of the well-known crypto payment processor.

BitPay users love DOGE

DOGE is the fourth most popular coin after Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH). Other popular coins like XRP, LTC and others are falling lower. The SHIB meme token, the second largest by market cap after Dogecoin, closes this BitPay list.

Last fall, Elon Musk used BitPay to sell his collectible perfume called Burnt Hair, which is produced by the Boring Company he runs. BitPay allowed users to pay for this perfume in crypto, including Dogecoin and Shiba Inu mem tokens.

#Dogecoin is currently the fourth most popular cryptocurrency used for transactions in @BitPay, a leading crypto payment processor

Doge rose to nearly 10% in December from 6% in June

DOGE army asks Musk for DOGE twitter emoji

Twitter user @cb_doge tagged Twitter boss Elon Musk with a request to start a hash emoji for Dogecoin. He reminded the hundred billionaire that when Jack Dorsey was CEO of Twitter, he launched an emoji for Bitcoin as he was a big BTC fan and evangelist. Twitter also has emojis for other cryptocurrencies โ€“ TRX, BNB, ETH and others.

@cb_doge said his request was made on behalf of the entire Dogecoin community.

Since Elon Musk is a famous backer of the largest meme coin by market cap, the Dogecoin Army expects him to add an emoji for DOGE now that he owns Twitter. Also, over the summer, Musk suggested that Twitter add Dogecoin as a payment option for Twitter Blue.

Hey @elonmusk ๐Ÿ‘‹

Jack gave the bitcoin community a #bitcoin hash emoji.

I would like to request the same for Dogecoin on behalf of the entire Dogecoin community ๐Ÿ™ pic.twitter.com/8P0MDPEXVH
