On March 4th, decentralized exchange Pancakeswap announced that the team plans to launch its version three (v3) iteration of the platform in the first week of April 2023. Pancakeswap v3 will bring new features and improve liquidity along with improvements in the accessibility of interfaces and the decentralization experience of the Yield Farming Exchange (Dex) platform.
Pancakeswap announces release date for version 3
Pancakeswap, the multichain dex platform, announced the launch of the third iteration of the program, dubbed Pancakeswap v3. The application is scheduled to go live on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) in the first week of April. The new application will include new features such as improved liquidity provisioning, competitive trading fees, trading incentives and an enhanced yield farming experience, all accessible through a user-friendly interface.
The decentralized finance protocol (defi) Pancakeswap v2 also supports other blockchains such as Aptos and Ethereum in addition to BSC. In the last 24 hours, index platforms recorded $1.47 billion in trading volume, and Pancakeswap v2 is the second largest index by trading volume. Last day, Dex platform Pancakeswap v2 saw $97,179,718 settled. The exchange offers a much larger amount of coins compared to Uniswap’s 955 listed coins as pancakeswap offers trades with 3,223 tokens.
To celebrate the launch of the third version, Pancakeswap is offering an early support program with $135,000 worth of CAKE and a non-fungible Pancakeswap v3 token (NFT) to reward users. “We look forward to continuing our mission to make defi available to all with the launch of Pancakeswap v3. The new features we are introducing will provide our users with an even better experience and help make defi accessible to more people than ever before,” said Mochi, Pancakeswap’s executive chef, in a statement posted to Bitcoin.com News was sent.
One of Pancakeswap’s competitors is Uniswap, the largest index by trading volume in the last 24 hours. Uniswap recently announced the launch of a mobile application, but has yet to get the green light from Apple. Other Dex competitors include Sushiswap, Balancer, Trader Joe v2 and Shibaswap. In addition to the global trading volume of $97 million, Pancakeswap has locked a total value of $2.49 billion and $2.45 billion is from the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) network. There is also $29.72 million in Aptos and $17.27 million in Ethereum.
