Cryptocurrency price today: Popular coins like Bitcoin, Ripple see gains while Solana, Ethereum see losses

Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) — two of the most valuable cryptocoins — managed to surge above $16,000 and $1,200 respectively early Saturday morning. Other popular altcoins — including the likes of Dogecoin (DOGE), Solana (SOL) — ended in negative territory as aggregate prices saw minor losses across the board. The token Terra Classic (LUNC) proved to be the biggest gainer with a 24-hour jump of over 7.00 percent. In contrast, Synthetix (SNX) turned out to be the biggest loser.

At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap was $811.79 billion, down 0.29 percent over the 24-hour period.

Bitcoin price stood at $16,848.61 and posted a 24-hour gain of 0.01 percent, according to CoinMarketCap. According to Indian exchange WazirX, the BTC price was at 14.29 rupees.

Ethereum (ETH) price today

ETH price was trading at $1,219.14, which is a 0.43 percent 24-hour loss at the time of writing. According to WazirX, Ethereum price in India was Rs 1.03 lakhs.

DOGE is down 0.96 percent in the 24-hour, currently at $0.07738, according to CoinMarketCap data. According to WazirX, Dogecoin price in India was 6.6588 rupees.

Litecoin (LTC) price today

Litecoin posted a 24-hour loss of 1.19 percent. At the time of writing, it was trading at $65.67. The LTC price in India was Rs 5,600.00.
