What crypto exchanges say about the current market scenario

Edul Patel, co-founder and CEO of Mudrex, told ABP Live: “Bitcoin crossed $43,000 yesterday and is currently stabilizing at $42,000. The market's attention today is on the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision, which is widely expected to remain unchanged. If Bitcoin maintains its current price level through the end of the month, it will achieve its fifth consecutive monthly increase, marking its longest streak. This will likely continue until the Bitcoin halving occurs.”

CoinSwitch Markets Desk noted: “While Bitcoin found some resistance near the $43.8K level, the overall market structure remains bullish even on shorter time frames, with immediate strong support at $42.3K .” All eyes will be on the Federal Reserve today as the Fed is expected to leave interest rates unchanged at its interest rate decision meeting today. Interestingly, markets believe there is a 44 percent chance the Fed will cut interest rates starting at the next meeting. If the Fed Chair says otherwise in his speech, we can talk about another red day.”

Rajagopal Menon, Vice President of WazirX, said: “In terms of momentum, the MACD level (12, 26) at -164 signals a 'buy'.” The Stochastic RSI Fast (3, 3, 14, 14) at 92 and the Williams percentage at -20 both indicate a “neutral” position. The market has slipped into a “neutral” mood after a week of “greed” and the rise in the price of Bitcoin. However, the Fed's interest rate decision could change this. The market is eagerly awaiting the SEC's interest rate ruling, leading to uncertainty about Bitcoin's next support level, contrary to expectations of a rate cut in the fourth quarter of 2023. Ethereum remains bullish and faces a possible ETF approval in May. Altcoins such as Litecoin and Astar have recently suffered declines due to market fluctuations. Despite the current downturn, an upcoming altcoin season is expected after the Bitcoin halving.”

Shivam Thakral, CEO of BuyUcoin, said: “The crypto market is in a wait-and-see mode as the Fed meeting on the first interest rate decision of 2024 is underway.” A decision to cut the interest rate will increase market liquidity and economic activity boost in all sectors. There are some reports that the Fed may leave interest rates unchanged. It is important to note that interest rates are at high levels due to continuous rate hikes in 2023 to curb inflation. Bitcoin is well positioned to embark on another growth cycle due to positive macroeconomic factors.”

Sathvik Vishwanath, CEO and co-founder of Unocoin, said: “Bitcoin rose more than 10% to over $43,000 and Ethereum neared $2,500, fueling price prediction discussions.” Grayscale’s decline in Bitcoin sales and the development of the US stock market fueled the rally. Despite the optimism, the upcoming meeting of the US Federal Reserve and the job numbers in January are looming, which are weighing on the forecasts. Bitcoin's recapture of $43,000 boosted its market cap by 2% to $1.66 trillion in 24 hours. Despite a temporary dip to $38,000, whales accumulated more BTC, giving Bitcoin its fifth consecutive monthly gain. Google’s approval of Bitcoin ETF advertising marks the mainstreaming of cryptocurrencies, albeit with risks. Ethereum's cautious rise to $2,346.5 with resistance at $2,477.2 and support at $2,240.6 suggests neutral to slightly bullish sentiment. Be vigilant, especially near important points.”

The CoinDCX research team told ABP Live: “In the last 24 hours, the crypto market has witnessed positive momentum, with ETH standing out by outperforming BTC.” This increase in ETH is attributed to the smooth implementation of the Ethereum Dencun upgrade on Sepolia . Currently, ETH is slightly below the crucial resistance level at $2,380. The fact that it has reclaimed the 20EMA Daily is a positive indicator. A breach of this range is crucial for signaling a possible upward move. On the other hand, BTC remained stable and hovered around $43,000. It remains above both the 20 and 50 EMA daily averages. For a significant upward move, BTC must clear the key resistance at $44,500.”
