Decentralized crypto exchange (DEX) trader Joe will update his liquidity book, his automated market maker for the trading engine, as early as next week, Blue, the project’s pseudonymous head of marketing, said at a community Discord call attended by CoinDesk on Friday.
Liquidity Book V2.1 will make it more efficient for depositors to add tokens to Trader Joe’s liquidity pools and also improve the on-chain trading experience, Blue said. Trader Joe has three implementations: on Arbitrum, BNB Chain, and Avalanche, his largest.
The upgrade will also introduce “auto-pools” that automatically manage depositors’ active positions in high-yield liquidity pools to mitigate risk. A new rewards program also set to launch will focus on token distribution for those who participate in Trader Joe’s concentrated liquidity.
Trader Joe has a total locked value of $131.78 million and has traded volume of more than $520 million as of March 26, according to crypto statistics website DefiLlama. JOE was priced at 60 cents at press time.
