Leading oracle network Chainlink now provides provably random, tamper-proof, and low-cost property randomness for two NFT projects.
True randomness from Chainlink
Chainlink continues to advance the smart contract economy. Notably, various projects around the world use one of its core products, Chainlink Verifiable Random Function (VRF), to cryptographically secure randomness in their blockchain apps.

MoonieNFT: Random Loot Boxes
MoonieNFT has integrated Chainlink VRF to support NFT-yielding moonchests and in-game results.
The GameFi platform leverages the Oracle network to provide players with randomized Moonie NFTs, providing a rich ecosystem-wide user experience and allowing players to participate in on-chain gameplay.
“MoonieNFT does things differently than the competition, but in the case of randomness, every NFT and game project wants to use the most secure random number generator possible. Chainlink VRF is undoubtedly the RNG that offers the most value to players,” said Michael Szachno , co-founder of MoonieNFT.

More than 60,000 NFTs have already been pulled from moonchests (randomized loot boxes) with Chainlink VRF.
MicroBuddies: Random NFT Traits
MicroBuddies has integrated VRF to randomly assign properties to NFTs.
The NFT strategy game now has access to a tamper-proof and auditable random source to determine MicroBuddies’ NFT characteristics during replication. Unique and rare Microbuddies are more desirable because they produce more GOO, the in-game virtual currency.
“Chainlink VRF gives us a secure, reliable, and auditable way to randomly assign properties to MicroBuddies NFTs. We want our players to feel reassured that the process is fair and transparent, and Chainlink VRF helps us give them that reassurance,” said David B. Dorwart, CEO of Good Gaming Inc, the company behind MicroBuddies.

The last four issues:
What is Chainlink:
Chainlink is the industry standard for building, accessing and selling oracle services required for hybrid smart contracts on any blockchain. Chainlink oracle networks provide smart contracts with a way to reliably connect to any external API and leverage secure off-chain computations to enable feature-rich applications. They are currently securing tens of billions of dollars in DeFi, insurance, gaming and other major industries, providing global corporations and leading data providers with a universal gateway to all blockchains.

What is MicroBuddies:
MicroBuddies is an NFT strategy game featuring ten types of cute, lovable, and not evil microbes that passively produce a virtual currency called GOO. Unlike other breeding games, MicroBuddies reproduce asexually through a process known as replication. Replicating a MicroBuddy requires GOO and creates a next-generation MicroBuddy with properties inherited from its parent.
