The leading proof-of-stake blockchain Cardano has once again emerged as the network with the most development activity, even as community members eagerly await the launch of several projects in the ecosystem.
Cardano’s weekly development activity on GitHub surpassed that of Polkadot/Kusama, Cosmos, and even Ethereum, as measured by data from the network’s code repository, which recorded 490 significant submissions per data, to that of ProofofGitHub, a Twitter bot powered by Santiment , was pointed out.

Cardano has consistently been the most actively developed chain this month. Earlier this month, Santiment also acknowledged that Cardano was the most actively developed network in November.
Cardano’s GitHub developer activity surge comes after the network completed its Vasil hard fork in September and rolled out more Cardano Improvement Proposals (CIPs), long-awaited by projects building on the network.

The future looks bright for ADA
Several decentralized applications (dApps) have been launched since the upgrade or have announced their launch dates. Projects that have gotten the Cardano community very excited include the Optim Finance decentralized exchange, the algorithmic stablecoin DJed and DJedPay, and the eUTxO-based cross-chain Spectrum Finance decentralized exchange.
Optim Finance already launched its SPO Liquidity Bonds product on mainnet earlier this month and intends to launch other products such as its Strategy Vaults, Real World Asset (RWA) vaults and structured products for managing CDOs early next month.
COTI, the developers of DJed, have announced that the stablecoin will be launched in January 2023. The stablecoin, which will serve as a much-needed safe haven from volatility and will have an on-chain proof of reserve, will go full steam ahead with integration on more than 40 DEXs that COTI has partnered with to date.
Meanwhile, in an update, the developers at Spectrum Finance noted that the DEX is 73% ready for mainnet launch, without giving a date. It is even closer to launching its native SPF token and yield farming product on the Ergo blockchain.
The launch of these large projects, as well as over 600 other interdependent projects built on top of Cardano, could have a significantly positive effect on the price of Cardano’s native token, ADA, which will propel it to a new price level.
At press time, the token is trading at around $0.30, up 0.30% over the past 24 hours. This price is down 90.1% from the all-time high of $3.08 set over a year ago, but ADA supporters are optimistic that they can regain these price levels with more acceptance.
