Since July 2022, Bitcoin (BTC) market dominance has surpassed 40%, according to Glassnode data analyzed by CryptoSlate.
The orange line in the chart above shows that BTC has dominated the market since October 2020. In early 2021, up to 70% of the market was dominated by BTC. But in January 2022, that share dropped to just over 40%, and it continued to fall during the first half of the following year.
Cryptoslate went on to note that the rate has been steadily below 40% except for a brief spike in late June when BTC dominance surged to 48%.
