Cryptocurrency Twitter has been thrown into turmoil by Bloomberg and CNBC contributor Samantha LaDuc's recent anti-Bitcoin statement. Major Bitcoiners – Michael Saylor, Samson Mow and Max Keizer – have responded to her anti-Bitcoin rhetoric on their Twitter accounts.

Keizer believes that such criticism of Bitcoin is likely to push it towards $220,000.

LaDuc's Bitcoin criticism

In a recent tweet, LaDuc criticized Bitcoin, stating that it is “rogue money” and that “there is no benefit to the scarcity of the world's leading cryptocurrency.”

“Newborn” Bitcoin critic LaDuc agrees that “Bitcoin is a “convertible currency with a REAL CURRENCY equivalent,” emphasizing that, in her view, the “real currency” is not BTC but fiat, which Bitcoin is exchanged for can be done at any time.

For them, the main feature of money is that it must be imposed/enforced on users by the government. However, in her opinion, “the state does not enforce/enforce Bitcoin as a real currency, so it is not money.”

She admits that Bitcoin can be traded and transacted, but insists that BTC is not money, except for those who do not have access to “real money”: “For those who need it, I agree that it is “It's a powerful, effective payment system.” She then added, “Bitcoin is rogue money, which is on the opposite spectrum to sound money.” It doesn't fit the definition of money, LaDuc believes.

Max Keizer and other Bitcoiners respond

Max Keizer responded to Samantha LaDuc on Twitter. He explained that money existed before the state and “Bitcoin separates money from the state. Bitoin will kill the state.”

He referred to the case of El Salvador and said: “Making Bitcoin legal tender means reinventing the state and creating a masterpiece of governance.” In the comment to his tweet, he also stated that Bitcoin is still at 220,000 US dollars.

Bitcoiner Samson Mow, head of Jan3, also commented on LaDuc's tweet. His Twitter post had a sarcastic tone: “Bitcoin is rogue money managed by shadowy super-coders and used by laser-eyed toxic psychopaths.”

Mow also offered a comparison of Bitcoin to the limited number of days in a year, noting that “time is valuable and we only have a finite amount of it.”
