Bitcoin Price Prediction as Bulls Drive BTC Above $26,000 – Time to Buy?

In recent developments, bitcoin bulls have catapulted the cryptocurrency above the $26,000 level, which has sparked debate as to whether now is the right time to invest.

Although bitcoin traded at $26,000 on Sunday, down slightly over 0.50%, broader economic concerns are looming in the background.

Economist Peter Schiff warns of a looming “full blown financial crisis” in the US before the Federal Reserve can actually hit its inflation target.

Despite Bitcoin’s importance, SWIFT data underscores the continued dominance of the US dollar in international payments.

On a more optimistic note, Charles Hoskinson, the visionary behind Cardano, boldly predicts his idea will overtake Bitcoin and Ethereum and establish its claim as the world’s leading cryptocurrency.

The economist Peter Schiff predicts an impending financial crisis in the US economy

Economist Peter Schiff has issued a warning about a looming “full blown financial crisis” likely to hit the US economy before the Federal Reserve meets its inflation target.

Schiff believes this crisis will force the Fed to revise its inflation target.

Schiff slammed Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell’s speech at the Jackson Hole symposium, emphasizing escalating federal budget deficits as a key driver of inflation. He accused Powell of dodging criticism of President Joe Biden.

Schiff emphasized the internal threats to liberty, prosperity and the Constitution posed by the US federal government and the Federal Reserve. Schiff’s constant warnings of a looming crisis and the Fed’s role in it underscore his concern.

Amid these warnings, the BTC/USD pair is seeing a decline today, possibly influenced by the heightened economic fears that Schiff’s statements have prompted.

The US dollar remains the first choice for international payments

According to SWIFT data, the use of the US dollar in global payment transactions has increased. In July, the share of SWIFT foreign exchange transactions involving US dollars hit a record 46%, up from just over a third a decade ago, the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) reported.

Much of this growth was at the expense of the euro, which peaked in 2012 at 46% before plummeting to under a quarter.

At the same time, data from SWIFT shows an increasing trend in Chinese yuan-related transactions, which accounted for over 3% of SWIFT instructions in July, compared to just 0.03% in 2010.

This report strengthened the value of the US dollar and weighed on the value of BTC.

Charles Hoskinson: Cardano will surpass Bitcoin and Ethereum as the most popular cryptocurrency

Charles Hoskinson, the inventor of Cardano, expressed confidence that the altcoin will outperform its peers Bitcoin and Ethereum in terms of market cap due to its unique governance and decentralization characteristics.

Despite its optimism, ADA’s value has been flat at $0.2589 since mid-April.

Hoskinson highlighted Cardano’s advances at the Rare Evo 2023 blockchain conference, underlining the factors that set it apart, such as sustainability, scalability, and interoperability.

The recent Alonzo upgrade, which enables smart contracts and dApps, further fuels his ambitions. He believes Cardano’s utility will help achieve the status of the most popular cryptocurrency ahead of BTC and ETH.

While Hoskinson’s comments may not have directly affected BTC’s decline in value, they may have indirectly contributed to its slow movement.

Bitcoin Price Prediction
