Recently, David Marcus, a former CEO of Paypal, claimed that compared to other so-called decentralized assets, blockchain is the only blockchain that is not under the influence of any specific person or company.
Marcus added that the financial world has yet to fully internalize the full-scale value of Bitcoin’s decentralized nature. However, some crypto enthusiasts do not share Marcus’ opinion. Mark Ghuneim argued that large interest groups allow specific individuals, companies or organizations to influence the Bitcoin network.

In a tweet earlier this month, the former Paypal CEO expressed that whenever people talk about it, most people only focus on the price of Bitcoin and not the underlying technology. He made a New Year’s resolution to shit the story. Specifically he said:
When most people talk or think about Bitcoin, it’s all about the asset and its price. My hope (and goal) for this year is to shift the narrative to the underlying technology and its possibilities. So many possibilities lie ahead of us!
Bitcoin (BTC) fell from over $21,000 to a two-year low of $15,883 last November due to the FTX fiasco. According to data from market-tracking platform CoinMarketCap, the coin has not recovered its $21,000 price until yesterday, when it traded at $21,075 for the first time in almost nine weeks.
Additionally, in an exciting turn of events, the global crypto market cap is on track to surpass the $1 trillion valuation again after closing 2022 below $790 billion.
