Bitcoin correction by 13% – experts say this about “for everyone” BTC

  • Bitcoin’s recent corrections have raised many questions about the cryptocurrency
  • Everyone from Peter Brandt to Peter Schiff to Michael Saylor had something to say

Bitcoin since the beginning of the week [BTC] has experienced a significant downturn, losing more than 13% of its value – a sign of a significant correction to its recent uptrend.

The decline was evident as prices fell to $62,900, the lowest level in the last two weeks.

The almost double-digit drop in the price of the leading cryptocurrency caused concern and uncertainty among market participants. Many wondered whether the unbridled growth of the last few months was reaching its peak.

In this regard, veteran trader Peter Brandt shared insights into Bitcoin's current price movement and offered a broader outlook on market sentiment. He noticed,

“This correction is healthy. BTC is in a major uptrend.”

A prominent trader associated with Binance further added:

“When prices rise and on-chain/offenders start moving, people won’t need slots anymore, they can just long the memecoin du jour with leverage.”

Different views on the king's coin

Additionally, Peter Schiff, a Bitcoin skeptic, noted on March 19 that CNBC's Squawk Box consistently highlights the cryptocurrency's positive gains but often downplays its declines.

“Whenever Bitcoin posts a big gain overnight, it's the main story on @SquawkCNBC. In fact, positive discussions about Bitcoin dominate at 7 a.m. on these days.”

He stated,

“But this morning, when Bitcoin fell 6% overnight (a big move), there was not a single mention of Bitcoin the entire hour.”

The economist noted that CNBC did not mention Bitcoin despite three hours of market coverage. According to him, this silence from CNBC allows Bitcoin whales to quietly dump their holdings.

“After over three hours of market coverage, @CNBC has not once mentioned #Bitcoin or their favorite stock $MSTR. The Bitcoin EFTs they pumped are down 6% and $MSTR is down 16%.”

In contrast to Schiff, Bitcoin maximalist Michael Saylor emphasized:

“Bitcoin is for everyone.”

What awaits Bitcoin: boom or curse?

Finally, Bitcoin analyst Willy Woo says that a peak by mid-2024 would not be surprising given the rapid rise of the Bitcoin macro index. This could potentially signal a double pump cycle like 2013, with a second peak expected in 2025.

Echoing the same, Brandt believes that the corrections are associated with uptrends, confirming BTC's ongoing bullish trend. While a retest of $52,000 is possible, a rebound to $69,000 would likely invalidate this pattern, making a decline below $50,000 unlikely.
