Binance.US has launched trading of Shiba Inu (SHIB), the famous meme coin token, on its platform. As a replacement, the exchange has delisted a related token, Kilo Shiba Inu (KSHIB), which aims to make it easier to buy SHIB with the US dollar. KSHIB equals 1,000 SHIB.
Announcing the launch on Twitter, Binance.US explained that Shibtokens are the medium of exchange within the Shiba Inu ecosystem, which includes ShibaSwap, the DeFi platform that offers liquidity pools, token swaps, NFTs, voting rights within the DAO, and more .
This development is another positive for the Shiba Inu, who has started the year in an impressive mood. The meme token is up 54% year-to-date, rising from $0.00000814 to $0.00001253. Analysts believe the planned launch of a native network, Shibarium, by SHIB developers has played a role in the token’s growth this year.
There is an existing petition from SHIB investors asking Binance to add Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) to the Binance exchange network. BONE is the designated token used to pay gas fees on Shibarium.
