Children in the fight against COVID-19. Kailyn Lowry, pink and more celebrities have spoken out about their children’s positive diagnoses during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Teen Mom 2 star and her sons – Isaac, Lincoln, Lux, and Creed – contracted COVID-19 while on vacation in the Dominican Republic in July 2021.
“I knew because I felt like st all week,” the MTV personality told her “Baby Mama No Drama” podcast listeners the following month. “When I lost my taste and smell, I knew what it was. I would know. I wouldn’t have been around people if I had known I had COVID, but I tested negative twice. … I don’t even know how that happened. “
The 16-year-old and pregnant alum added that Lincoln’s father, Javi MarroquinShe had tested positive, as had Lowry’s cohost Vee Rivera.
The experience was the second time the Pennsylvania native battled the coronavirus. Lowry was first diagnosed on a trip to Iceland in February 2020.
As for pink, the Grammy winner and Carey Hart‘s son Jameson tested positive for COVID-19 in April 2020.
“Jameson was really, really sick,” said the singer of “Just Give Me a Reason” on an Instagram Live at the time. “I’ve kept a diary of his symptoms for the past three weeks, and mine too. Three weeks later it’s still 100. It was a different roller coaster ride for both of us, but Carey and [our daughter]”Willow, was perfectly fine.”
The songwriter explained the “scary” situation and said, “There have been many nights when I’ve cried and never prayed in my life. It’s fun, but at one point I thought they had promised us that our children would be fine. It is not guaranteed. Nobody is safe from that. … In the beginning all we heard was: ‘When you are young, that is 65 and older, thank God our children are fine.’ “
Pink’s daughter donated “all of her tour money” to a hospital amid family members’ health problems, the Daytime Emmy winner said.
