English football club Tottenham Hotspur have appointed nutrition brand Science in Sport (SiS) as their first official performance solutions partner, signing a four-year deal.
The partnership will see SiS provide the Premier League team with products and a dedicated performance solutions framework specifically designed by the company to shape the team’s nutrition strategy.
Spurs will therefore hire staff to work with SiS to help develop the programme, which will be led by Emma Tester, the club’s lead nutritionist.
In return, SiS will receive branding on coolers and water bottles, as well as branding at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the club’s home ground, on match days and at the club’s training ground.
Spursplay, the club’s recently launched streaming platform, will feature SiS-branded content showing how the brand’s products are used.
Tester said: “Having access to and support from industry-leading experts is a huge advantage for us.
“We’ve had great feedback from players on the range of products available to them and look forward to developing bespoke products to truly personalize their nutritional regimen.”
Elsewhere in the Premier League, Everton have agreed a multi-year extension of their partnership with Davanti Tyres, which provides for it the brand with enhanced presence at Goodison Park and across the club’s digital channels.
Meanwhile, the Wolves have unveiled Trade Nation as their official FX trading partner in a deal that covers the men’s, women’s and esports teams.
In a series of deals ahead of the new season, Crystal Palace have renewed their deal with JD Sports for the 2022/23 campaign, with the retailer expected to receive branded inventory at Selhurst Park.
