Lithuania’s gaming regulator has issued another fine to Top Sport after finding the operator to have breached mobile betting regulations.
Top Sport has been fined €15,000 (£12,913/$16,017) after regulators found bets were being placed automatically through the operator’s betting app.
According to the agency, the app automatically repeated the bet after the player placed bets at a live roulette table provided by Ezugi after locking their phone.
After an investigation, the authority found that this was a violation of Article 16, Parts 4 and 5 of the Gambling Act in Lithuania, as the game did not meet certain requirements.
Part 4 specifies that each piece of play equipment must meet the requirements set and approved by the authority.
Meanwhile, Part 5 states that a gaming device and a remote gaming device must have a certificate issued by accredited institutions confirming that they meet the requirements set by law.
Top Sport has also been warned that further violations or failure to rectify the issue could result in the suspension of its license in Lithuania. The operator has until July 1 to comply.
All decisions of the authority can be appealed against.
The latest ruling comes after the regulator this week also fined Top Sport a further €25,000 for allowing underage people into one of its slot rooms.
An investigation conducted by the agency found that three people, including at least one minor, were able to enter the facility and stayed there for more than two hours.
The authority said Top Sport took no action to remove the three people from its premises.
