At ITA we know that in many situations athletes feel encouraged, coerced or even forced to take drugs despite their unwillingness to do so independently, often in systems that do not provide athletes with opportunities to express themselves to be or to have external success due to the strict requirements of their teams and associations.
So how do the ITA experts plan to protect these athletes? How do they hold accountable those responsible for putting this pressure on athletes to dope who are rarely confronted with the career-altering consequences that athletes face?

Our ITA experts would like to encourage any athletes who are subject to this pressure or who are aware of doping activities that harm athletes’ health and undermine the integrity of sporting competitions to come forward and speak to them.
Protecting the identity of the proactive reporter is at the heart of our experts’ work. Your data will be treated confidentially and you can decide whether you want to remain anonymous. Once you have submitted a report, the ITA experts will review and evaluate it. Following the review, the ITA will consider taking possible action in a safe, considerate and confidential manner. Our expert will also respond to you and provide feedback on your report if possible.
