Athlone Town have won their first ever FAI Cup final after beating Shelbourne on penalties.

The game at Tallaght Stadium ended 2-2 after extra time.

Dana Scheriff gave Athlone a first-half lead before Jemma Quinn equalized in the 74th minute.

This game is a repeat of last year’s decider, where Shels won 2-0, and is also Noel King’s final game with the Dublin team.

Arsenal have reduced the gap to Chelsea at the top of the WSL table to three points.

This is after a 3-0 win over Brighton today.

Otherwise, it ended 2-2 between Everton and Bristol City at the start of the game.

Leicester City and Tottenham are tied 1-1 shortly before the end of the season, while West Ham and Aston Villa are tied 2-2.

The last game of the day is the Manchester derby where United host City and which remains goalless in the first half.

They face Dublin and All-Ireland champions Kilmacud Crokes in the decider after defeating St Mary’s Ardee 1-16 to 1-11

And St Brigid’s of Roscommon defeated Leitrim’s Mohill by 1-7 and 8 points in their last four games in the Connacht Football Championship.

McIlroy says he exceeded his expectations.
