Southampton have offered their women’s side full-time contracts following promotion to the Championship.
The players had been working under part-time contracts but are now turning pro for next season.
“The change in the status of Southampton FC women from part-time to full-time is exciting,” manager Marieanne Spacey-Cale told the club website.
“We recognize the challenge that moving to the Championship will bring on the field, so having a good time with the Staplewood team will support that transition and give us a good chance to establish ourselves in the league.”
Southampton won 22 of their 26 games in the Southern Premier Division that season and won the league by nine points.
