On 9 March 2010, Nicklas Bendtner scored a penalty to secure his hat-trick in Arsenal's 5–0 win over Porto in the Champions League, as the Gunners cemented their place in the quarter-finals by overturning a first-leg deficit.
It has taken 14 years and three days, but Arsenal are back in the last 16 of the Champions League – with Porto, penalties and a comeback in the second leg on the cards again.
This time it wasn't a penalty taker who grabbed the headlines, but a penalty taker, with David Raya saving two goals against Porto in a 4-2 shootout win.
Arsenal had recovered from a last-minute 1-0 defeat in Portugal when Leandro Trossard's goal forced extra time in a draw that was often high on tension but low on quality.
But when Raya flew left to stop Galeno's penalty, it sparked an outpouring of unbridled joy at the Emirates Stadium, almost a decade and a half in the making.
