A Question Of Sport has been canceled by the `, ending a tenure of more than 50 years for the national broadcaster.

A ` spokesman said: “Due to inflation and funding issues, difficult decisions need to be made, so Question Of Sport is not currently in production.”

The national broadcaster cited “value for money” for ` license fee payers, which has led to the broadcaster changing its programming offering to prioritize impactful content that attracts viewers to ` iPlayer.

The suspension of A Question Of Sport follows Sue Barker was axed as presenter in 2020, alongside long-time team captains Matt Dawson and Phil Tufnell.
