And while many of Southgate’s trusted defenders will likely be back in time to be included in the final squad, Guehi is confident he can book his spot on the plane too.
He’s definitely one to keep an eye on until November 14 when the final World Cup squads are due to be submitted.
Adama Traore looked set to return to his best form against Nottingham Forest at the weekend.
The strong and speedy winger ran towards the Forest defenders, trying to deliver clinical passes and dangerous crosses for Diego Costa to finish in the last third.
With Wolves struggling to score, Traore’s reappearance could help revitalize Wolves as an attacking force.
